Community Development Institute - Headstart Division
CDI Serving North Texas (940-626-4787) provides educational and case management services to children and their families through Head Start, Early Head Start and Home Base programs which serve children ages birth through five years of age.
Services provided throughout our program are as follows:
HS enrolls preschool children who will be 3 or 4 on or before September 1. Each classroom is staffed with a Teacher and a Teacher Assistant. Class sizes average 17-20 with a max of 20 children per class. CDI serves home-based children in Decatur. Home-based is where a teaching staff goes into the child's home each week and works with the child and the family. CDI has HS centers in the following cities: Azle, Alvarado, Boyd, Bridgeport, Cleburne, Corsicana, Decatur, Glen Rose, Granbury, Lillian, Mineral Wells, Stephenville, and Weatherford.
Early Head Start (EHS)
EHS enrolls pregnant moms through the ages of 3 years. Each classroom is staffed with two teachers and class size is no more than 8 per classroom. CDI has EHS centers in the following locations: Boyd, Cleburne, Corsicana, Decatur, Glen Rose, Granbury, Mineral Wells, Stephenville and Weatherford.
10% of EHS and HS slots are reserved with children with diagnosed disabilities. Classroom modifications if needed. Classroom modifications if needed. Coordinated services with therapists and schools. IFSP/IEP into lesson plans.
